The Sales Engineer job responsibilities include:
• Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations.
Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, tradeshows, etc.
Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFQs/RFPs/ITTs.
Attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services.
Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
Scheduling appointments, meeting new and existing customers in order to review product requirements, and to determine other opportunities
Preparing, designing and planning effective professional demonstrations to conduct sales presentations by meeting customers physically on a daily basis, or as often as necessary.
Liaising between the company and the customers for up-to-date condition on pricing, service and latest product release launches.
Generating and new businesses accounts in order to increase revenue, through cold calling.
Continuously updating all customers on company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.
Provides product quotes to customers as needed, and ensures complete follow-up on customer profile, information, calls-to-action, sources, and dates.
Identifying decision makers amongst the targeted leads in order to facilitate sales process.
Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
Prepares quotations and proposals, discusses credit terms, quotes prices/delivery and prepares Sales Order reports or forms.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed professional environment.
Preparing reports for sales and marketing and maintaining expense accounts; updating and maintenance of customer accounts.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Cooperating with Sales Manager to determine essential strategic approaches for sales.
Maintaining and expanding the database of prospects of the organization.
Attending sales group and/or production meetings concerning existing orders, sales targets or forecasts, reporting on customer expectations/requirements and overall market situation.
Functional implementation of NQA Program, including review/interpretation of customer Purchase Order requirements, as well as accurate, complete and detailed transfer of information to Sales Orders.
Bachelors Degree in a technical field.
3+ years relevant experience technical sales or engineering.
Excellent Communication skills (written and oral), able to handle stressful situations and deadline pressures, as well as carry out responsibilities with minimal direction.
Must be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a geographically dispersed domestic and international customer base.
Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFQs/RFPs, and when submitting reports.
Organizational and analytical skills required, with the ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
Must be self-motivated with a proven track record in technical sales, having knowledge of technology, and the ability to maintain technical competence with customers.
Extremely detail-oriented, goal-oriented and a skilled negotiator with a high level of initiative and the ability to work well within a team environment.
