Current Need


We are seeking exemplary sales professionals to introduce and sell our exciting new Strategic Intelligence Solution.  This Sales professional is responsible for all activity in assigned accounts including product sales, services sales, development of the client relationship at all levels in the client organization and client satisfaction. The Strategic Intelligence sales executives will manage a geographic territory and collaborate with both internal McKesson contacts and external industry contacts to advance the sales of Strategic Intelligence solutions.

This position requires a comprehensive understanding of healthcare operations and the strategic application of data within the healthcare organization. The sales executive must be able to be conversant on these topics at both the business unit decision maker level as well as the c-suite oversight level.

Position Description

Identify and close small and medium acute care facilities in territory as prospects for assigned products and services

Development of Clinical, Financial and Operational Relationships

Develop and maintain relationships with CFO, CIO,CNO, CMO, and other key executives

Contact prospects and explain  value proposition of products and services, utilizing persuasive sales techniques

Clinical, Financial and Operational Subject Matter Expertise

Serve as an expert regarding solution knowledge of performance analytics, clinical quality and safety measurement and performance.

Maintain industry, marketplace and current trends in healthcare and inform company of changing market conditions and competitive issues.

Funnel Growth support and focus

Develop and manage regional webinars, seminars, lunch-n-learns.

Drive attendance to specific McKesson industry and customer events.

Location:  Remote based West or South Central region

Travel:  50-80%


Minimum Requirements
5+years new account sales experience

Critical Skills


Must have Healthcare software sales experience
Ability to present business intelligence, cost accounting, financial analysis, benchmarking, service line performance, strategic analysis, pay for performance, value based purchasing, and quality compliance to the provider space.  

Adept with selling at high levels in the healthcare market (CEO, COO, CIO, CFO level)

Demonstrated and verifiable experience consistently exceeding large quotas

Demonstrated and verifiable experience with new business sales including the software support and maintenance revenue streams.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Expertise at creating sales strategies to match operating strategies for hospitals

Knowledge of sales territory management ( experience a plus)

Strong negotiation, conflict management & customer service skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple, diverse projects and sales events simultaneously.

Knowledge of current information systems technology and of healthcare industry and trends.

Proficient in strategic sales account planning skills.

Ability to demonstrate consistent closing techniques throughout the sales cycle.


4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
