The Solutions Sales / Business Development Manager position is responsible for development and managing the Buildings Business Systems/Solutions sales strategy for Central and Eastern Carolina. This position is also a key member of the senior management team at the branch organization level. The desired areas of expertise should include the development of business relationships focused on the delivery of Building Automation Systems, Security Systems, Fire Systems.

Successful applicant will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, a proven track record of contribution in a team environment, dynamic leadership abilities and a boundless drive to succeed.

This position is responsible for ensuring that the department attains its sales quotas while maintaining or exceeding our booking gross margin objectives. Responsible for the development, mentoring and leadership of sales personnel at varying levels of experience.

What do you do in this position?
· Participate a member of the Schneider Electric Buildings Raleigh senior leadership team. This team, as a group, is responsible for the leadership of the branch, the development of the branch vision and approach to the market place and the satisfaction of our employees and customers.
· Develop and implement Sales and Business Development strategies for the construction markets in Central and Eastern Carolina
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key contractors and customers in the market
· Oversee the assignment and platforming of sales accounts
· Assist sales personnel in identifying prospects, and throughout the sales life cycle
· Keeps abreast of competition, competitive issues and products
· Actively participate in marketplace activities and business development efforts (lead by example)
· Continually monitor, manage and report sales pipeline, orders forecast and business forelog
· Actively assists Operations and Service departments with project implementation, service activities, value delivery and management
· Interviews, hires, trains, evaluates, and manages sales personnel
· Contributes to department or division strategic planning
· Prepares performance evaluations and set sales personnel goals
· Assist in the development of departmental budgets
· Provide coaching and Mentoring to the Sales Team
· Various other duties related to the overall management of our business




Qualifications:

• Significant people management experience, sales management preferred
• Ability to identify trends in the marketplace and to position resources to capitalize on those trends
• Significant Sales and or Sales Management experience within the Buildings industry
• Significant people management experience, sales management preferred
• Excellent organizational skills
• Four (4) year college degree or equivalent work experience
• Schneider Electric Building Automation and Security product knowledge would be beneficial
