Sales Manager

The Manager of Sales for Spectrum Enterprise’s Mid-Market Sales Organization is responsible for consistently achieving or exceeding sales goals in their territory through the constructive coaching and leading of their sales team. The Manager will be accountable for routinely monitoring and analyzing sales performance against company and regional goals, and for optimizing production of the Account Executives and Account Managers through on-going development and use of company Sales Support and Sales Coaching resources. The Manager will also nurture customer relationships and work collaboratively with the customer account management teams to ensure a customer-centric focus.

  • Apply constructive and supportive coaching techniques in the leading of Account Executives and Account Managers to achieve or exceed sales targets in their area of sales accountability
  • Instill a Sales Activity focus within the sales team, driving and monitoring the up-stream sales behaviors that result in successful sales goal attainment
  • Oversee daily sales team activities, including training, motivating, and developing a cohesive team atmosphere
  • Develop and maintain an effective sales organization through on-going selection and training of qualified sales and account management professionals
  • Conduct regular sales staff meetings to take advantage of sales coaching opportunities
  • Attend sales calls as required
  • Provide weekly sales summaries and reports to Sales leadership
  • Assign high priority customers and/or develop business with significant long-term potential
  • Perform special projects and act upon long-term business building opportunities as assigned
  • Travel as required

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ sales leadership experience managing business accounts and sales teams, or equivalent combination of work and education experience
  • Working knowledge of data and cable industry strongly preferred
  • Ability to supervise personnel and manage office procedures
  • Ability to organize, implement and maintain sales goals
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record in locations where driving is required

  • Strong experience utilizing CRM systems (SalesForce)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
