Job Description:

3M is currently seeking a Sales Representative for the Critical & Chronic Care Solutions Division.

Job Summary:
The person hired for the position of Sales Representative: Post Acute Care - Southern Florida will call on wound care clinics, Long Term Care (LTC) facilities, Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) facilities, Home Health Care facilities and Home Infusion Centers. They will sell the complete Critical and Chronic Care Solutions Division line of products inclusive of the Wound Care, Skin Care, and IV Site portfolios, leveraging contract positions and acquiring new business opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Developing relationships with clinical and business buyer
  • Partnering successfully with the 3M team covering the Post Acute Care facilities
  • Partnering successfully with Distributor Counterparts across the Post Acute Care Continuum
  • Performing effective customer segmentation and targeting at a territory level
  • Organizing and leading local product sales seminar
  • Performing effective product demonstrations - Making follow up calls as necessary in order to close new business
  • Ensuring post sale product usage and comfort
  • Representing customer needs concerning ongoing product development and marketing program development
  • Participating as needed in local and regional trade shows
  • Meeting sales goals
  • Must have a current valid driver's license (position includes use of a company vehicle)

  • Understanding of medical reimbursements, national contracts and distribution management in health care is preferred
  • Understanding of the organizational layers, customer segments and needs in health care
  • Understanding of the competitive landscape in health care products, prices and policies

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university
  • Two (2) years of field sales experience in the Post- Acute healthcare market

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual language skills (Spanish/English) are desired
  • Three years of medical outside sales experience managing a defined sales territory is preferred
  • Sales experience with product lines within Skin Care, Advanced Wound Care, Ostomy and Continence Care, Medical Device and Disposable Medical Supplies is preferred
  • Health care industry experience including vascular access; WOCN; IV therapies; orthopedics; medical device; laboratory and diagnostics is preferred
  • Advanced Territory Management skills including analytics, strategic planning, prioritization, and tactical execution utilizing all available resources to maximize results
  • Experience with maintaining and growing a multi-million dollar territory with 20 or more accounts
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office application software, on-line sales support systems and Internet savvy research capabilities
  • Experience using Customer Relations Management (CRM) software (i.e. Salesforce.com)
  • Experience with Lotus Notes and/or Outlook email software

Sales Territory: Southern Florida
Travel: up to 50% travel within the territory is anticipated
Relocation: is not authorized for this position
