Salesforce.com System Integrator

Capital One is seeking a technically savvy Salesforce.com System Integrator (Salesforce skills in Business Analysis and Configuration/Administration) to join our team to serve as a strategic partner between business leads and technical development teams. In this role, you will participate in cross-functional Commercial Bank Tech Salesforce teams to collect and define business requirements and translate their needs into user stories and design, and ultimately deliver a solution. This is a great opportunity to stay close to both customer and code while providing functional, technical, and process leadership on complex and high priority IT projects. The role is perfect for a results oriented individual who likes to partner actively with clients and likes to get their hands dirty with system design, configuration and testing. You will be working within an Agile environment, and actively participate in release and story-level planning and daily standups.  You will have the opportunity to continuously grow and develop functional/technical knowledge and skills on Salesforce and other platforms, as well as educate team members (including BAs, Scrum Masters and Product Owners) on the capabilities and constraints of technologies. You will be an integral part in advancing the culture of functional and technical excellence within Capital One.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and define overall system scope and objectives based on thorough understanding of business process and problems
  • Partner with business leads and end-users to solicit, analyze, negotiate and document business requirements as user stories
  • Build strong relationships with Product Owners and other business groups that provide requirements or act as stakeholders
  • Influence architecting the right solution designs by providing options analysis and recommended option based on thorough understanding of business scenario and Salesforce product, and providing business implications of design decisions
  • Identify and address cross-project and cross-team dependencies and impacts
  • Identify risks/issues in a timely manner and appropriately mitigate/escalate
  • Participate in agile team ceremonies, and drive overall story grooming and delivery processes on own stories
  • Drive clear scope definition on user stories with detailed acceptance criteria by collaborating on scenarios definition with Product Owner, Developer and Tester
  • Collaborate with Developers and Technical Leads to ensure technical design and successful delivery of Salesforce features based on user stories
  • Develop configuration-type Salesforce changes (e.g. build reports, fields, layouts, data security, chatter, workflow/process builder, validation rules, assignment rules)
  • Collaborate with QA to drive the right test scenarios and testing success of user stories
  • Perform user story demos to Product Owners and other Business Leads on completion of development
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and business leads to plan and support User Acceptance Testing and Training of end-users
  • Provide Production support during releases, resolving end-user issues and questions
  • Share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams, and mentor more junior System Integrators and Salesforce Configurators

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in system/business analysis
  • At least 2 years of configuration/administration experience with Salesforce.com
  • At least 1 year of experience in Agile software development methodology
  • At least 2 years of experience in software support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems
  • 2 + years of experience working in Agile methodology
  • 2 + years of experience designing financial and CRM applications from customer requirements
  • Salesforce Certified (Admin 201 or Dev 401/App Builder or Dev 501/Platform Builder)
