The Compliance Department operates in a fast-paced, rigorously audited and dynamic environment. The Sanctions Analyst performs account screening assignments related to regulatory initiatives pursuant to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Money Laundering, Suspicious Transactions and High Risk Activities. This position is critical to protecting the Company from legal and regulatory risks, as well as reputational and franchise risks.
This is a full time long term contract position that primarily works in an office environment in a secured building, with potential to become a permanent position. Schedule is Monday through Friday 8-5.
The review and screening process includes alert review, documenting review outcome, and servicing accounts where potential matches have been identified. List screening is high volume, and requires analysis and decision making with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, while maintaining service levels.
Will perform additional duties as requested. Occasional overtime may be required.
Other duties include the following:
-Ensure timely resolution of alerts and determine whether supporting documentation is received is sufficient to validate resolution of alert;
-Daily reporting to management and compliance officer
-Adhere to processes and procedures; recommend changes
-Ensure changes to procedures and documented
-Testing and audit projects, as requested
-Adhere to SLAs; escalating any quality or timeliness issues with Manager for follow-up
-1 to 3 years relevant banking or compliance experience
-Ability to comprehend and adhere to Federal and State banking regulations, Company policies and procedures, and successfully participate in regulatory and Company training requirements via multiple and variable delivery methods.
-Candidate must have strong written/verbal communication, solid high volume processing and analytical skills with the ability to work independently on multiple assignments in a deadline driven, regulatory environment.
-Strong PC skills including but not limited to Windows 2013 or higher, Microsoft Word, Excel.
-Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
-Self-reliance and willingness to creatively find solutions.
