Must be able to train on 1st shift and then move to a 2nd or 3rd shift schedule.
The purpose of this job is to produce, test, inspect and package Sani-Tips that meet the standards and specifications of the department. This function will be supervised by the unit leader and close contact with the supervisor.
¿ Stock and move material
¿ Fill hoppers
¿ Maintain weight scales
¿ Test product per specs
¿ Set-up and operate all machines in department
¿ Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
¿ Communicates to Unit Leader, Supervisor and Maintenance department representatives on issues
¿ Record data from inspection/testing
¿ Grind material for regrind processing
¿ Perform maintenance per instructions
¿ Keep track of items that need to ordered
¿ Complete setup and change over to machines
¿ Pack finish goods
¿ Responsible for handling/documenting customer complaints
¿ Must have the ability to appropriately use and maneuver powered industrial truck upon successful completion of P.I.T training
¿ Must have the ability to work overtime and weekend shifts assigned
¿ Performs any additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or the Unit Leader. Additional tasks may include housekeeping (sweeping, cleaning equipment, etc.). Equipment used for housekeeping includes brooms, vacuum cleaners, and rags, cleaning supplies, etc.
¿ Reviews/updates departmental procedures (s.o.p.) periodically as directed by the Supervisor and/or Unit Leader. Maintains skills via department training. Records and maintains accurate training records.
¿ Participates and contributes to projects when assigned to meet department goals and objectives including completing A-3 continuous improvement suggestions and safety reports (e.g. ¿near-miss¿ cards).
