The SAP Solution Architect is responsible for delivering multi-scale, complex SAP-centric solutions that reflect best-practice business process and leverage the latest tools and methodologies on the SAP technology platform to achieve high performing business operations. Manages the application design and architecture components.
  • Researches and provides recommendations for technology to improve the current business process as part of continuous improvement. 
  • Implements the technology solutions for SAP applications including application extensions, interfaces, reports, conversions and development, execution and operations architecture components.
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of discipline/specialty area standards and processes to solve business problems. Integrates industry experience and deep professional/ technical knowledge.
  • Compiles business requirements, identifies core business processes and determines which business application within the current/ future application portfolio best supports the business requirements and processes.
  • Determines integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs.
  • Develops procedures and guidelines related to modification, upgrading and application of patches for SAP related systems and components.
  • Evaluates emerging technologies and tools against business and IT strategic needs.
  • Participates in establishing the technical strategy and standards for integration of SAP application functionality and workflows to non-SAP applications.
  • Ensures designs are consistent industry best-practices and within Panasonic development standards and guidelines.
  • Creates, articulates and promotes technology strategies.
  • Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and other statistical information.
  • Interprets and complies with Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Will initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with (6) six years in SAP technical architecture and implementation experience with emphasis in enterprise application strategy and integrating systems in global, multi-location, multi-platform operating systems environments. 
  • Experience working in various SAP Manufacturing and Supply Chain areas including Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Project Systems (PS), Quality Management (QM), Customer Service (CS), Logistics Execution (LE), Sales and Distribution (SD), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Plant Maintenance (PM) and Variant Configurator (VC) and Business Warehouse. 
  • Experience working with SAP Finance (FI), Controlling (CO) and Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC) modules.
  • SAP ECC and HANA; SAP Basis; SAP-ABAP; SAP Solution Manager, Analytics, SAP integration, change management, COE.
  • Process improvement activities including value stream mapping and process re-engineering.
  • Highly skilled in SAP process design and configuration, SAP design, development, integration, testing and deployment, education and training, and SAP technical architecture.
  • Prior experience with and solving for highly complex, global solutions across appropriate engineering environments.
  • Experience facilitating the solution design process working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Skills and knowledge in full lifecycle SAP projects.
  • Understands how enterprise IT organizations design and implement both custom and COTS packages.
  • Experience working in Automotive and/or electronic manufacturing areas preferred.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio.
