Scrum Master - Tester

Position Overview:
This position involves supporting the Freestyle team and development partners with the software development lifecycle. This includes serving as the Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams and championing test driven development.

Function Related Activities / Key responsibilities:
  • Software Delivery Lifecycle: Ability to apply the standards of test driven development methods covering the full development lifecycle (e.g., project preparation, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support) to ensure solution quality and consistency of process.
  • System Design: Knowledge of the beverage management and calibration system design procedures and the ability to translate functional business requirements into an application system or process to meet the clients' needs that also meets all relevant Company standards.
  • Value Proposition: Knowledge of procedures used to demonstrate the benefits (e.g., financial) of a software development solution.
  • Basic Project Management: Knowledge of agile project management principles and the ability to apply the principles, tools and techniques to develop/plan, manage or execute projects or work plans to ensure successful completion (e.g., on time, within budget).
  • Engineering Skills: Knowledge of and the ability to understand, design, apply and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.

Education: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience is required; or, Master's Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Related Work Experience:
  • 5+ years working in Software related industry
  • 2+ years of Beverage dispenser technology and calibration system testing
  • 2+ years as Scrum Master of multiple embedded technology teams
  • 2+ years working with Microsoft Team Foundation Server
  • Worked with complete lifecycle management with User stories, PBIs, tasks with in-sprint testing and also coordinated QA phase to deliver quality releases
  • Worked and scrummed with geographically diverse engineering teams
  • Experienced in capacity planning and release planning for large team of electronics and software including development and quality engineers for multiple releases
  • Conducted bug scrubs with leads and stake holders
