Role Description

J&J is looking for an OPCx Factory Manager who is skilled in process automation & measurements and passionate about meeting customer needs in the Healthcare industry. The OPCx Factory Manager will be responsible for delivering services on-time and on-budget while meeting target application rationalization goals. This person will collaborate closely with senior leaders and BUIT customers to validate application rationalization status and lead the development of an automated process that will guarantee quality with minimal rework. The Factory Manager of the OPCx Factory team, will independently lead an internal, cross-functional team and manage third party vendors to design and implement processes and tools to ensure continued optimization in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. The OPCx Factory Manager is part of a highly effective, fast-paced team and serves as the interface between our business units, third parties, and factory engineers throughout the rationalization process.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing the relationships with GOC global leads and establishing a clear path for communication, escalation and driving outcomes thru appropriate metrics
  • The ability to uncover business challenges and develop an agile approach to solve those challenges working with the Automation and Operations teams.
  • Partner with the OPCx team members with Customer Centric views and ISM Portal intake.
  • Coordinating with the PMO to report and update decommissioning factory schedule, resources, outcomes and status
  • Working with Risk Management, Archiving, external partners, and operations teams to continually improve the rationalization process
  • Delivering presentations, technical documentation, and detailed process designs. 
  • Performing ad hoc data updates and other follow-on application rationalization services
  • Providing support for business critical escalations as needed 

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • A Post Graduate Degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with application / server support
  • ITIL V3 knowledge is required and certification is a plus
  • Prior experience in supporting global operations and following Enterprise level process frameworks
  • Independent judgment and technical problem solving, decision-making strength is required
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are required
  • Self-starter with strong teamwork abilities and customer service skills is required
  • Weekend and/or after-hours availability for migration support
  • Experience in working in a DevOps or Scrum methodology is a plus
  • Experience with ServiceNow implementations a plus
  • This position requires 10% to 20% travel.
