QUALIFICATIONS

Leads application automation and testing of large scale mission critical systems. Applies expertise in programming to build and evolve test frameworks and methodologies to support quality and reliability of our systems.

ASSOCIATE: 0-2 years

  • Work closely with engineering and product team to develop automated test methodologies under the direction of more senior staff.
  • As part of a development team, contributes to the *writing* of actionable, testable product requirements in the form of user stories
  • Develops and maintain test tools and frameworks to validate unit, integration and functional tests of the system.
  • Develop understanding of test engineering enterprise frameworks and techniques to support adoption of Continuous Delivery development model

SDET I: 2-4 years

  • Work closely with engineering and product team to design and develop automated test methodologies under the direction of more senior staff.
  • As part of a development team, contributes to the *writing* of actionable, testable product requirements in the form of user stories
  • Applies coding expertise to develop and maintain test tools and frameworks to validate unit, integration and functional tests of the system.

SDET II: 4-6 years

  • Facilitates the design and development of automated test methodologies, collaborating with engineering and product teams to implement shift left techniques on test design and automation
  • Writes actionable, testable product requirements in the form of user stories based on input from product development team
  • Leverages leadership and coding expertise to leads product development team in the development and maintenance of test tools and frameworks to validate unit, integration and functional tests of the system
  • Support test engineering efforts to implement enterprise frameworks to enhance overall testing capabilities

SDET III: 6 years

  • Integrates engineering and product teams in designing and developing enterprise-level automated test methodologies.
  • Leads product development team in writing actionable, testable product requirements in the form of user stories
  • Researches market and industry trends in the development and maintenance of test tools and frameworks to validate unit, integration and functional tests of the system. Anticipates product development team needs for specialized test tools and frameworks.
  • Evaluate and improve testing methodologies and enterprise frameworks for continuous improvement


Technical proficiency in the following tools and platforms:

  • Hands on experience implementing test automation for enterprise applications (web, SOA, ETL, and backend)
  • Proficiency with open source automation tools (Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin)
  • Proficiency with open source test frameworks
  • Proficiency with programming languages (Java, Groovy)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (Jenkins, Go)
  • Experience with build tools (ANT, Maven, Nexus)
  • Experience with SCM tools (SVN, ClearCase), SQL (Oracle), project management tools (Rally, Jira, HP ALM)
  • Experience with UI automation using RIT
