The SEC Reporting Leader will be responsible for the following areas:
+ Monitor, assess and communicate the effects of new accounting pronouncements and SEC regulations and lead, manage, and/or coordinate the adoption of those assigned
+ Work collaboratively to benchmark disclosures against industry peers' filings
+ Prepare presentations for executive management team, board of directors, and various parties as needed
+ Lead the preparation of financial statements, notes and MD&A for earnings release, Forms 10-Q, 10-K and GE Annual Report
+ Lead the preparation/review other periodic SEC filings including Forms 8-K and 13F
+ Oversee documentation/quality control process for SEC filings
+ Work collaboratively with businesses, corporate functions and KPMG to address comments on SEC filings
+ Work with external design firm and printer to produce the GE Annual Report
+ Lead process for responses to SEC comment letters
+ Review/coordinate review of analyst presentations, Chairman's letter in Annual Report, Board presentations from a Controllership standpoint
+ Coordinate with and support SEC Reporting Systems Analysts for IBM Cognos CDM and XBRL requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting
+ CPA required
+ Minimum 8+ years public/private accounting experience
+ Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC financial reporting requirements
+ SEC Reporting experience with a large corporation and/or public accounting
+ Ability to develop effective working relationships with all levels of the organization
+ Familiarity with ledger-based reporting systems such as Hyperion and Cognos FSR or CDM
+ Ability to interact with all levels of management
+ Ability to work and manage a team effectively under strict time constraints
+ Strong written and oral communication skills
+ Strong project management and organizational skills
+ XBRL experience
+ Experience in a role influencing others without direct authority
