Responsible for procedures to ensure the safety of information system assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provide second level technical trouble support
Solve randomly occurring problems
Support customer service requirements for established information and computer security standards
Administers information security safeguards.
Perform implementation tasks for system and network security technologies
Perform technology upgrade tasks utilizing change control.
Design and configure vendor services orders for repetitive services & oversee implementation.
Compile data in support of equipment and user relocations or system migrations.
Perform simple configuration changes to meet business requirements under supervision.
Compile and collect capacity data to be used for planning purposes
Perform documented preventative maintenance routines under supervision.
Assignment to project teams to represent information security requirements and perform operations and administration tasks.
Respond to level 3 & 4 change and problem requests
Participate in level 1/2 incident recoveries with minimal supervision.
Requires 2 years experience in suport and operations role in any of the following areas: access management of network security technologies, servers, networks, telecommunications, operating systems, middleware, hardware/software support, or other infrastructure role. Must be capable of providing top-tier support for 2 or more of the information security technology common body of knowledge skill sets: 1) Access Control, 2) Application Security, 3) Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, 4) Cryptography, 5) Information Security and Risk Management 6) Legal, Regulations, 7) Compliance and Investigations, 8) Operations Security, 9) Physical (Environmental) Security, 10) Security Architecture and Design, 11) Telecommunications and Network Security. Knowledge and understanding of industry-accepted data processing controls and concepts as applied to hardware, software, data, network communications, and people.
Experience with Linux OS is required.
