Fannie Mae is seeking a Senior Security Engineer that will be responsible for the technical implementation and support of Security systems within the Enterprise. With a focus on the Fannie Mae's Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Services, this role requires a technical and self-motivated individual who is trustworthy and results driven. This person must be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and exhibit a high degree of corporate maturity, collaboration, and commitment to production uptime and data integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • In-depth understanding of PKI concepts such as encryption, digital signatures, Public Key Cryptographic Standards (PKCS) and Public Key Enabling
  • Analyze, select, and design implementation and integration strategies of PKI encryption technologies and products
  • Provide input to IA process activities and related documentation such as systems concept of operations, system security design, implementation plans, operational procedures, and maintenance training materials
  • Develop IT architecture deliverables, specific to information security countermeasure implementations, for operational systems and systems under development
  • Experience completing or managing to completion projects/tasks/deliverables with minimal supervisory oversight
  • Evaluate proposed security architectures and designs and provide input as to the adequacy of those security designs to meet required security compliance objectives


Qualifications:


EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
  • 4 years of related experience

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Knowledge of requirements management, configuration management, lifecycle readiness management, risk management, and schedule management practices and processes
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and high autonomy
  • 3-5 Years' Experience with Data Encryption Deployments and Applied Cryptography
  • Configure Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
  • Experience with policy development and writing experience with Certificate Policy and Certification Practice Statements
  • Must have significant experience with modern Windows, UNIX, network operating systems, databases, virtual systems and Cloud Computing markets and integrations
  • 3-5 years' experience with scripting languages (python, Bash/C/Korn shells, VBScript, Perl, PHP); all for the use of automating actions (Calling REST APIs, maintenance and information gathering, logging)
  • Extensive experience developing solutions integrating and extending COTS products from multiple vendors
  • Experienced with the design and specification of service-based, distributed Enterprise system solutions
  • Experience with Venafi Trust Protection Platform is a plus
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP)
