As a Security Program Manager, you may also be responsible for managing the development and implementation process of security tools and products. You will plan and direct schedules, manage budget/spending, monitor the project from initiation through delivery, and organize cross-team activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. You will define and manage inter-departmental programs that improve the security of Oracle's products and cloud services. E.g., secure coding standards, secure design and development practices, secure-by-default configurations, etc. You will be expected to provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology, and to recommend and justify major changes to existing products/services/processes.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 7 years experience managing the development and implementation of software products
  • Deep knowledge of one or more areas of computer security - network, hardware, software, etc.
  • Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Work well with product managers to establish and maintain our roadmap, setting appropriate expectations and insuring our product and services meet our high standards for security excellence
  • Ability to succeed through collaboration and working through internal and external organizations and individuals
Detailed Description and Job Requirements

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of security engineering or related experience.

Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
