Our business at SecureWorks is growing. We are looking for a Security Project Manager to join our team and manage our client’s large complex security projects and portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading a security team that is not located on site. The candidate must have the ability to interact with senior level executives, have strong command skills, and confidently address issues and communicate solutions. Projects will include technologies and services such as SIEM optimization, firewall monitoring, network and host-based IDS/IPS management and monitoring, vulnerability management, policy and compliance management, and incident response.
-Ensure the seamless delivery of all security services
-Advise client on current security trends, risks, and vulnerabilities
-Lead cross-functional teams in security remediation planning and execution of security projects by planning and tracking of tasks, schedules, resources and dependencies- facilitate & drive project status meetings
-Support client’s Security Operations Center with Incident Response and Incident Handling activities
-Actively manage project portfolio, provide consistent program status and progress against objectives
-Manage projects/portfolios that involve significant business complexity and communication, with organized collaboration and conflict resolution across diverse organization
-Analyze security services offerings and portfolio to develop meaningful security metrics and KPI’s
-Raise accountability; escalate issues in a timely manner and create and maintain detailed Project Plans
-Drive issues to resolution
-Demonstrate the ability to assess a situation and recommend changes to achieve goals, even if it means major mid-course changes to the project plan
-Work to ensure projects are successfully implemented while taking into consideration a complex customized environment, constant resource constraints, accelerated timelines, and/or reprioritization of projects
As a managed security provider, SecureWorks expects its employees to understand and apply commonly known security practices and possess a working knowledge of applicable industry controls such as NIST 800-53. Employees will be expected to acknowledge their security responsibilities in writing prior to gaining access to company systems. Employees will be required to maintain a working knowledge of local security policies and execute general controls as assigned.
-Project experience with security technologies and concepts
-5 to 7 years security experience with -2 years of leadership experience with executive level presence
-Working knowledge of SIEM technologies
-Familiarity with Firewalls, IDPS, and other security tools, ticket system knowledge
-Ability to report on security metrics to executive-level audience
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with strong presentation and communication skills
-Client and relationship-focused, process-driven, metric-focused, results-oriented, organized and self-directed
-Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects and assist/advise support engineers in establishing appropriate priorities
-BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
-CISSP certification and/orProject Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
-Previous SOC or NOC experience preferred
-Incident Response experience preferred
-Working knowledge/experience of networking, security and applications preferred
Location: Raleigh, NC with up to 10% travel
