Duration: 2 months + contract to hire

Adecco is seeking an Accountant to our premier client's, Central Controllership team located in Eagan, MN. Central Controllership is a key element of this company's strategy to leverage best practices, support future acquisitions and growth, and streamline processes and activities across the organization and the world to return value to our customers by becoming more effective and efficient. Primary Areas of Accountability:

Process and support revenue accounting transactions for SBU customers; maintain responsibility for month-end close and related activities
Perform moderate to complex accounting and reconciliation functions
Prepare key financial reports and schedules for SBUs
Demonstrate appropriate application of IFRS, GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements; help ensure accounting practices follow policies
Integrate functions, processes and systems to optimize resources and create value
General Areas of Accountability:
Provide reliable, value based information to internal and external customers on a timely basis
Work with business partners to leverage knowledge and capabilities to resolve financial issues
Develop, enhance and deliver existing and new performance measurements/metrics and utilize dashboard capabilities for distribution to a wider audience within the Accounting Organization


Qualifications

Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
2-4 years' progressive finance or accounting experience including interaction with corporate and business unit management
Accounting experience with a global or multi-national company preferred
Integrated financial systems experience preferred (SAP, SAS FM, Cognos and BEX)
Working knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
Knowledge of general reporting, reconciliations, expense analysis, and journal entry preparation
Demonstrates ability to perform Staff Accountant level technical skills
Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Manage multiple priorities with competing demands for time and resources to successfully meet project and schedule deadlines
Strong collaborator in a team environment; ability to effectively transfer knowledge to build team bench strength
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Travel on a domestic and international basis as required; estimated to be less than 5%
