Role Summary:

As a Senior Accounting Leader, you will lead an accounting team and will have overall responsibility for Global Operations - Finance accounting and reporting for assigned region or business. Lead the regional financial reporting processes and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of financial reporting. Lead and assist with controllership projects as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Direct members of the accounting team on quarterly financial closing activities and on crossfunctional initiatives

+ Lead the overall monthly and quarterly closing process and financial reporting for assignedregion or business

+ Liaise with general accounting teams to make top-sided journal entries

+ Partner with business FP&A, Tax and finance teams to lead the close and reporting process forthe business

+ Review and prepare balance sheet analysis

+ Identify and implement process improvements in the HQ and regional closing and reportingprocesses

+ Provide accounting enterprise resource planning (ERP) technical accounting support toaccounting teams

+ Participate and take leadership role in finance projects

+ Engage in project work with vendor resources on transitioning account reconciliations & DRoutsourcing

+ Assist with and lead controllership projects and initiatives

+ Review and prepare account reconciliations and journal entries

+ Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring compliance with local accounting procedures andUS GAAP

+ Engage with auditors to answer questions in regards to control processes and accountreconciliations

+ Manage, coach & motivate project team members; Provide direction & leadership to crossfunctional teams & third party providers, to drive results

+ Negotiate with suppliers & vendors as appropriate

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university with 8 yearsof experience (minimum of 8 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance role)

+ Previous management experience in an accounting role

+ Must be willing to travel up to 25% initially and will eventually decrease to less than 10%

Desired Characteristics:

+ Demonstrated experience leading/managing a team through quarter close and financialreporting, ensuring sub-systems close out to the General Ledger and accounting entries arefinalized

+ Demonstrated experience of Balance Sheet flex analysis, Profit and loss flex analysis andexplanatory details on accounts

+ Senior Analysis

+ Strong financial, accounting and analysis skills

+ Strong communication skills, ability to present complex structures in a simple fashion and drivechange

+ A self-starter, independent with strong intellectual curiosity

+ A clear thinker, who can simplify strategy into specific actions, makes decisions andcommunicates priorities

+ Ability to work effectively across functions and geographies

+ Has imagination and courage to take risks on both processes and ideas

+ Develops expertise in a function or domain, using depth as a source of confidence to drivechange

+ Proven track record in working within a team and leading a team

+ Self-motivated individual

+ Established credibility and experience interfacing with peers and managers

+ Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure

+ Business perspective with proven analytical capability

+ Highly articulate and confident communicator

+ Qualified accountant (CPA) or equivalent

+ MS Excel, Business Objects, Hyperion, SAP and Oracle financials experience

+ Experience with intercompany accounting, foreign exchange, global consolidation and /or globalaccounting experience is a plus
