Your tasks and responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Accounting Manager, Consumer Health, are to:

  • Actively support/consult the business in their decision processes by providing accounting impact of various options on business results;
  • Actively support business restructuring processes providing guidance on the financial impact of decisions made by the project teams;
  • Provide guidance to significant business decisions, transactions and provide accounting impact of various options on business results and the associated accounting treatment of various options;
  • Actively support the planning and forecasting process (for business, TX, FI purposes) linking the business with Accounting;
  • Provide key insights into development of the financial statements and contribute to their completeness and correctness by providing Central Accounting/Central Controlling departments with transparent and qualitative information originating from within the Business;
  • Explain trends in financial statements as the controller of actuals; act as a business advisor / consultant for both business and internal / external audit purposes;
  • Actively research and stay abreast of changes in Accounting guidelines, and Support Central Accounting with Change Management towards business for implementation of new guidelines;
  • Actively participate in industry events to understand overall industry trends and benchmark industry best practices;
  • Assure the correctness, completeness and consistency of provisions (restructuring, legal); gross to net reporting; contract risk assessments;
  • Provide overall coordination of integration of Accounting in projects (e.g. system changes, mergers and acquisitions, various business driven topics);
  • Support Central Accounting in the Demand Management for process or system changes as requested by the business;
  • Support all internal continuous improvement projects and serve as point contact for accounting topics in Consumer Health.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
  • Certified Public Accountant or CPA candidate with at least 8 years of relevant working experience;
  • At least four years of Public Accounting experience;
  • A self-starter with international experience and a strategic mindset;
  • Strong technical accounting skills - proficiency with IFRS /US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles desirable;
  • Demonstrated understanding of Gross-to-Net models and the ability to contribute towards the improvement of such processes quickly;
  • Good working knowledge of the Consumer Products business and specific accounting issues impacting that business segment is desirable;
  • Strong interpersonal, communications and presentation skills that instills trust;
  • Ability to build long term partnerships and collaborate with senior management and cross-functional business teams
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP and BI desirable);
  • Ability to take support multidisciplinary project (e.g. M&A) and assure corresponding change management;

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Busines Administration;
  • Big 4 Accounting Firm experience.

  • Domestic Relocation is available
