  • Duties:              Provide technical and analytical support for strategic finance objectives.  Provide modeling support for numerous financial reporting and strategic deliverables, including FASB GAAP Accounting Standards.  Identify the financial impacts of potential regulatory changes, including solvency position, product offerings, and competitive considerations.  Perform analysis to better understand financial impacts and help inform corporate strategy.  Collaborate with Business Units and work on strategic projects across Finance.  Leverage expertise on upcoming changes to financial reporting, valuation, and capital standards that are expected to shape and govern the industry in the future.  Utilize Prophet to develop pricing models.

     

    Requirements:            Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 1 year of experience performing actuarial services for insurance pricing and must have ASA designation and must be eligible to sit for FSA Exam.

     

    Also requires:

     

    (1) Demonstrated expertise in analyzing data and actuarial assumptions and modeling liabilities in accordance with professional Actuarial Standards of Practice (ASOP);

    (2) Demonstrated expertise using Excel, VBA, and actuarial programs including MG-Triton and Prophet to develop models and perform actuarial calculations;

    (3) Demonstrated expertise developing and pricing insurance products, analyzing data and developing actuarial assumptions;

    (4) Demonstrated expertise developing financial models, modeling liabilities and performing audits and analysis of financial results; and,

    (5) Demonstrated expertise evaluating the financial implications of changing business environment and emerging regulatory standards to inform corporate strategy.
