This position will be instrumental to MetLife’s management of retail deferred annuities. The current Statutory Reserving (AG43) and RBC (C3P2) framework for variable annuities is in the process of a major overhaul. MetLife is a participating company in the NAIC Quantitative Impact Study (QIS2) reviewing the results of proposed NAIC regulatory changes and providing feedback before finalization. The incumbent will model proposals as stipulated in the study, analyze results, provide feedback on the QIS2 and keep MetLife management informed of the study’s progress. Once new reserve and capital standards are finalized the incumbent will be involved in implementing the required changes. The position will also involve statutory financial reporting, sensitivity testing, designing new analytics and metrics to manage the inforce business and other model modernization and updates.
