Responsible for working with the Vice President of Provider Alignment Solutions, to strategically support the design and implementation of payment innovations for Anthem's different lines of business.
Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:
Advises the Vice President on strategic and operational issues to promote and strengthen Anthem's work in payment innovation
Represent Anthem to external stakeholders including health care providers, policymakers, regulators, and customers.
Identifies potential policy and operational risks and facilitates solutions.
Contribute to the coordination of activities in the Vice President's office, including but not limited to strategic planning, building and maintaining relationships with other units within Anthem, and complex, cross-cutting projects involving multiple departments within Provider Alignment Solutions.
Leads efforts to identify best practices. Identifies impacted parties, business partners, and resources required. - Develops and designs processes and systems that support business needs. Designs methods for integrating function and process.
Conducts cost/benefit analyses. - Builds support for business change throughout Provider Alignment Solutions and across Anthem.
Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; 5-8 years of process or project related experience that includes experience in successfully developing and managing projects with fairly significant operating budget and knowledge of process redesign; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. - 3 years of health policy experience and experience implementing payment reform in public or private sectors.
Additional skills preferred include:
Master's Degree in Health Policy, Population Health Management, health care law, or relates studies preferred.
Experience working across multiple functional areas to achieve a common business purpose
Experience working on large enterprise projects
Track record delivering on time/on budget initiatives
Excellent coordination, documentation and organizational skills - communication and relationship building skills.
