Job Description
PayPal's Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) organization is responsible for detecting and preventing financial crimes, including money laundering and terrorism financing, and requires well-designed, engaging and effective training programs to best prepare investigators for this critical mission. The Senior GFCC Instructional Designer will be responsible for understanding GFCC processes and systems and will design, develop and deliver a range of trainings, including the following: Induction, New Hire, Up-Skilling and ad hoc training. The global financial crimes compliance space is constantly changing, and the successful candidate for this role will be passionate about ensuring investigators understand their role in assisting law enforcement, adhering to regulatory requirements, and protecting the company. The Senior GFCC Instructional Designer will work on cross-functional improvement projects, collaborate with the global training team, suggest innovative solutions, and support those recommendations with instructional design and innovative learning practices. The successful candidate will also partner with GFCC leadership, collaborate with subject matter experts, and develop learning solutions for varying delivery requirements - eLearning, blended learning, instructor-led training, performance support tools, among others.
Responsibilities:
  • Create training content with a focus on e-learning, engaging modules, presentation materials and achieving a consistent look, feel and Global message
  • Deliver training, participate in project work, identify training needs and build out the training curriculum
  • Assessing the effectiveness of training through review of survey feedback, focus groups, coaching, facilitation and review of key metrics
  • Manage training roles, including but not limited to Learning Management System (LMS) and proprietary tools and software. Envision and review training reports, budget, training calendar and training team-related meeting minutes on a monthly basis.
  • Help to streamline training logistics, serve as a central POC for training team escalations, and partner with leadership and subject matter experts to drive training related projects and to think creatively about how to continue engaging the teams
  • Recommend changes or modifications to training programs and execute upon those changes through creative instructional design and learning strategies
  • Collaborate proactively with leaders to understand training needs, goals and overall effectiveness
  • Partner with leadership to provide responses to audits and examinations, requesting training related documentation as needed
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training by remaining connected to learners, and following up both via surveys and in-person feedback
  • Deliver soft skills training and behavioral training programs to build the next generation of training talent ("Train the Trainer")
  • Collaborate closely with talent acquisition teams, planning teams, and operational teams to ensure a seamless new hire onboarding process
Job Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree required
  • 5+ years' related experience or Master's degree and 3+ years' related experience
  • Industry Standard Training Qualification preferred
  • Experience with E-learning software required (Adobe Captivate, Articulate, etc)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Creative thinker with the ability to tailor learning to a variety of audiences
  • Prior experience in the financial services industry a plus
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prioritizes work, multi-tasks effortlessly, meets deadlines, and achieves goals
  • Works efficiently under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Must be self-motivated, dependable, adaptable, and detail-oriented
