We are focused on driving business transformation, superior customer satisfaction, and revenue growth through innovation and cutting-edge technology that leverages traditional ERP, as well as cloud, analytics, mobile, and social solutions. **General Summary:** This is a unique opportunity located in Austin, TX for a software developer to join Dell’s Legal and Physical Security IT department. **The candidate must be a US-based, US-citizen due to Federal government security requirements.** **Principal Duties and Responsibilities:** ‒ Provides technical support, supports functions and usage of applications, gathers relevant system information, leads the troubleshooting session and diagnostic procedure to determine and solve customer reported technical issues ‒ Effectively communicates technical issues to customers in a fast paced and customer business critical environment ‒ Triages with other support team such as System, Network, Database and Identity departments; obtains knowledge and provide resolution to customer issues ‒ Resolves tickets and sets customer expectations in a timely and professionally manner; complies with Service Level Agreement (SLA) ‒ Logs and keeps records of queries to the centralized ticket system ‒ Updates knowledge-based articles/documents for applications ‒ Participates in design meetings; authors, contributes, and/or reviews Functional and Technical Design documents ‒ Provides production support by troubleshooting issues, and developing/testing/deploying solutions ‒ Develops and unit tests enhancement as required, drafts technical design document, participates in code reviews with other team members ‒ Identifies and diagnoses issues at Windows and Linux environment ‒ Provides support at monthly/quarterly releases, works with development team to troubleshoot any issues ‒ Works independently with minimum supervision **Qualifications:** ‒ US Citizen ‒ Bachelor’s degree (technical) with 4+ years of application support experience ‒ Working knowledge of Visual Studio 2005/later, Eclipse, Apache Tomcat, Linux/Unix platform, and SQL Server Studio 2005/later ‒ Familiar with SQL Server and Oracle Databases ‒ Knowledge with .NET and Java development ‒ Some experience with web applications and debuggers ‒ Good knowledge of Javascript, AJAX, JQuery ‒ Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating system **Why work with us?** ‒ Life at Dell means collaborating with dedicated professionals with a passion for technology ‒ When we see something that could be improved, we get to work inventing the solution ‒ Our people demonstrate our winning culture through positive and meaningful relationships ‒ We invest in our people and offer a series of programs that enables them to pursue a career that fulfills their potential ‒ Our team members’ health and wellness is our priority as well as rewarding them for their hard work **EMC Values:** When you choose our company, you join a diverse world of innovative thought leaders.
