LinkedIn's Analytics team uses data analysis to drive our monetization efforts. Our team is rapidly reinventing the way that proprietary data analysis drives sales & marketing efforts and product decisions. We need a talented and driven associate to accelerate our efforts and be a major part of our data-centric culture. We're looking for a hands-on professional to work closely with sales and product teams to turn data into insights at scale by developing and delivering data-driven tools that impact LinkedIn's bottom line.
The LSS Analytics Data Solutions team focuses on scaling automation to empower our sales teams to sell LinkedIn Sales Solutions products like Sales Navigator. We work in every part of the stack, from data pipelining to JavaScript visualizations, to help our sales reps find the right people and deliver compelling, data-driven stories illustrating how LinkedIn and Sales Navigator can help our clients' social selling efforts. We also work on horizontal initiatives to drive understanding and impactful decision-making for LinkedIn through analytics solutions and actionable insights.
Responsibilities Overall, a highly driven, results-oriented, creative and nimble problem solver and a willingness to do "whatever it takes" to deliver business value quickly Manipulate massive-scale structured and unstructured data to drive actionable insights Create and maintain insightful automated reporting applications and dashboards to track business KPIs and empower sales, marketing, and analytics efforts Partner with cross-functional teams to lead or contribute to large scale strategic projects as well as ongoing operational activities
Basic Qualifications Advanced degree in quantitative fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, Operational Research, Statistics, and Economics, or 3-5 years experience working in a related field Extensive experience in one or more of the following: SQL / relational databases, big data technology (e. . , HDFS, Hive, Pig, or Spark), and document-oriented databases / NoSQL (e. . , MongoDB, Espresso, or redis) Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e. . , R, Python, Java, Ruby, or Perl) or experience building front end visualizations using JavaScript frameworks (e. . , jQuery, Marionette, D3, or Highcharts) Strong written and oral communications skills; ability to clearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences and work across teams to accomplish tasks.
Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with data visualization and/or BI tools (Ex. Tableau) Experience in ETL processes and tools Background in predictive modeling or machine learning Working knowledge of Unix and Unix-like systems
