Position Summary


This role is responsible for responding to inquiries or requests from our field and business partners. To do this effectively the employee needs to have a deep level of understanding of how our life products (both in-force and new business).  At the same time, the employee must develop a network across the company (Systems, Illustrations, Underwriting, Agent Compensation and OGC to name a few) that will enable him/her to respond on a timely manner.  Employee will need to be able to work independently and acknowledge when a case should be escalated.  The employee must also identify, risk or opportunities for improvements on our products, or processes uncovered during his/her case work.



Major Responsibilities


  • Have a deep understanding of how each of NYL's products work, including both in-force and new business
  • Receive and respond to product inquiries from our field and business partners
  • Track all inquires on our database
  • Work with business partners including Agency, Systems, Illustrations, Legal, Marketing or Underwriting, to investigate and respond to all inquiries received
  • Work with our business partners to address any issues or opportunities identified, and share them with our In-force Management and Product Development partners.




  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Project Management skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team
  • Life Insurance Industry knowledge
  • College Degree preferred

1. Operating earnings is the key measure use by management to track Company’s profitability from ongoing operations and underlying profitability of the business. This indicator is based on generally accepted accounting principles in the US (GAAP), with certain adjustments Company believes to be appropriate as a measurement approach (non GAAP), primarily the removal of gains or losses on investments and related adjustments.


2. Assets under management represent Consolidated Domestic and International insurance Company Statutory assets (cash and invested assets and separate account assets) and third party assets principally managed by New York Life Investment management Holdings LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company.
