About The Position:
Guggenheim is seeking an exceptional candidate to join Information Technology in its IT Finance function. This person will become part of a high performance and service oriented team responsible for the financial management of Guggenheim's Information Technology function. IT Finance is responsible for the financial planning, forecasting, analysis, reporting, business support, and expense efficiency of Information Technology.
The Senior Associate will be required to demonstrate strong analytical, reporting, and systems skills including utilizing ERP systems and software. The position will be located in Chicago with limited travel to Guggenheim's New York office.

Specific Responsibilities Include :
  • Execute the IT internal monthly reporting and review program: produce, analyze and report on monthly results of the IT Business Units; meet with IT Business Unit leaders to review results to ensure accuracy, mutually understand all variances to Plan, and take necessary actions; partner with the IT Business Unit leaders to achieve planned financial goals
  • Report on investment project spend: produce monthly reports that report on year-to-date investment project spend vs. plan or forecast for the Holding Company and Guggenheim businesses
  • Report on IT headcount, including both employees and full-time equivalent contractors
  • Produce the monthly reporting to the IT Oversight Committee and collaborate on continuous reporting enhancements
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all IT financial data, including general ledger expense coding: review system output; identify and correct inaccuracies; critically analyze business processes and work flow and recommend process improvements
  • Participate in the execution of the annual planning and forecasting processes: assist the IT Business Unit Leaders in the preparation and presentation of their annual plans and mid-year forecasts; ensure due dates are achieved and key deliverables are submitted; collaborate with Finance personnel in Guggenheim businesses to develop plans and forecasts, and ensure that technology spend is coordinated and accurately planned for
  • Participate in the following key projects: IT Time Tracking; IT Project Costing system; Full-Time Equivalent Contractor reporting; and the IT Service Catalog
  • Conduct financial analysis of IT procurement purchase options
  • Identify, analyze, and recommend cost management actions to maximize cost efficiency and effectiveness; seek to reduce IT costs wherever possible
  • Identify, research, and participate in the implementation of process improvements to create greater efficiency and productivity
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for IT cost data and prepare ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions
  • Support as needed the allocation of IT Shared Service costs to Guggenheim businesses
  • Participate in the development of models to price TSA's; understand the costs to operate a divested entity; track and resolve issues with costs related to TSA's

Skills & Experience Required:
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems. CPA, CMA, or MBA desired
  • Three to seven years' experience in an IT Financial Management ("ITFM") or Technology Business Management ("TBM") role, a corporate reporting/corporate financial management role, or an IT role with a financial background
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, and proficient in PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with Hyperion HFM or Essbase financial planning/software and experience in an integrated forecasting environment preferred
  • Experience with Workday desired
  • Financial services industry experience desired
