Senior Associate, Learning Technology

As Senior Associate, Learning Technology you will support the delivery of a best-in-class learning experience for Capital One Associates. You will be responsible for supporting Capital One’s learning systems through configuration, testing, advocacy, and functionality, while consulting with business clients. Additionally, you will document processes and assist with building the tools Capital One needs in order to adopt emerging technology for our learning management system and mobile learning, as well as for new platforms. You will partner with various teams (including internal technology, learning, and 3rd party teams) in gathering requirements, identifying options, documenting processes, developing solutions, and providing technical direction, and will also partner with application owners, system administrators, and customers to ensure we’re designing processes and solutions that focus on the end-user experience and meet business needs. The Associate who fills this role should have a focus on delivering efficient, reliable, resilient, scalable, and high performing solutions.

General Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain knowledge of internal Capital One programs, desktop settings, support processes, plug-ins, and platform capabilities and constraints
  • Support complex troubleshooting efforts, build relationships, and communicate in an effective way across multiple teams, including 3rd party technical, Capital One Tech, Capital One University, and business partners
  • Address business needs and deliver technical solutions through both advanced planning as well as in-the-moment responsiveness
  • Collaborate with team members to implement standard processes and solutions to increase design and implementation efficiency
  • Assimilate information and requirements from a variety of sources into one comprehensive view and educate clients and partners on this information
  • Analyze complex, interconnected business processes and systems
  • Manage processes for upgrades, including user acceptance testing and regression testing, as well as tracking system defects and enhancements
  • Manage system defects and enhancements with 3rd party vendors
  • Work with clients to document business needs and consult on learning technology solutions that support Capital One’s learners, including consulting with internal training teams to find the best solutions within our existing systems
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced and changing environment under minimal guidance and direction

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience working with a human resources technology or at least 2 years of experience working with a learning technology
  • At least one year of experience working with Agile Development Methodology
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a process management position
  • Basic understanding of the training environment
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors learning management system
  • Experience with Salesforce or other process management software
