Discover Products Inc. seeks a Senior Associate Programmer in Riverwoods, Illinois to Break down complex requirements into workable technical solutions to solve the product owner's problems. Design and develop software for large scale distributed systems. Collaborate with other developers on code reviews and process enhancements. Partner with the business to understand requirements in order to create efficient and reusable application code. Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes. Resolve production issues. Serve as Subject Matter expert for applications by providing design suggestion and performing code reviews. Develop server-side applications using technologies including Java, JSP, Servlets, Spring 3.0, Spring Web Flow, Hibernate, EJB 2.0, JDBC, JNDI, JMS, XML, and XML schemas. Utilize Agile/Scrum methodology and Rally as tracking tool. Creating and Consuming SOAP and RESTFul webservices. Utilize relational database systems such as DB2 and Oracle.
Skills
REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and three (3) years of experience: participating in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); developing RESTful and SOAP web services and testing services using tools such as Postman and SOAPUI; utilizing Eclipse or HP Quality Center for defect tracking and management; performing testing using JUnit, Spring Test framework and mocking frameworks including Mockito and Powermock. One (1) year of experience must include developing server-side applications using technologies including Java, JSP, Servlets, Spring, Hibernate, EJB 2.0, JDBC, and XML; working with relational databases and object oriented principles; utilizing relational database systems such as DB2 and Oracle; utilizing Github, Jenkins, Gradle and Nexus for continuous integration and source code management; and utilizing Agile/Scrum methodology.
