In your role as a Senior Manager, Brand Marketing at Kashi, you will be part of our success by:

Business Planning
• Create and deliver compelling, positive impact and results driving commercial plans for the Kashi brand Snacks portfolio

Brand Management
• Building enduring, consistent and powerful relationships with our consumers
• Competent in foundational Marketing tools: Equity Wheel, Brand Dashboard, Stage Gate Process, Activation Brief, Creative Brief, and Experience Plan
• Competent with brand dashboard, which includes the equity wheel, essence, communication strategy, food innovation strategy (including culinary, nutrition and sustainability), and identity system.
• Creating brand advertising and communications
• Creating brand identity, package structure and graphic development for new products

Budget Management
• Achieving quarterly NSV$ and OP% targets
• Managing budgets

North American Alignment
• Sharing and aligning on category strategies and needing segmentation with Morning Foods and Snacks Brand Marketing Groups
• Managing brand marketing initiatives with Specialty, Canadian and Frozen foods Business Units
• Instilling a genuine passion for the development of our brands and marketing excellence

Natural Lifestyle
• Desiring to develop thought leadership in natural, healthy lifestyle subject matter
• Participating in the Kashi Purpose of Enabling Powerful, Uplifting Health through Plant-Based Foods
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Marketing, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
• Experience in new product development, creating marketing, sales, or communication strategy
• Fully proficient in PC and MS Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook calendar
• Business analysis skills, including custom market research and syndicated data tools. Must be versed in interpreting data to develop insights into ideas. Must be able to create strategy to turn ideas into brand creation, expansion, innovation, and renovation to create an engaged and enduring relationship with our consumers. Must be able to manage the innovation process through the stage gate process, insights to platforms to ideas
• Developed Communications Skills, informal and formal, including interpersonal, high performance teaming skills and conflict management skills
• Experience with P&L Management, Project Management and Agency Management
• Ability to work in conditions that include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, and specific time constraints

• MBA or Master's Degree in Marketing Business Management or Related Field
• Previous experience with both natural food industry and mainstream food CPG marketing
• Previous supervisory experience


Estimate travel up to 25% is a requirement of this position. Includes business planning visits to customer meetings nationally, market research, and Battle Creek, MI.
