The Industry organization serves 6 core industries -Manufacturing, Financial Services, Retail, Government, Healthcare and Education - supporting customers on their digital journey across the globe. To help us accelerate growth and transformation, we are looking for a strong business manager supporting the FSI team.

The individual will be a key business partner to both the FSI team and our broader Industry organization. Describe the function and some specifics of the team. The Business Manager will be a key and strategic partner across the business, become a trusted advisor and business partner to the broader Industry team operating at highest levels of the company.

The Impact You'll Be Making
Rhythm of the Business:
Act as the connection point with Business Planning and lead the team through all of the major annual WCB & Company milestones and Rhythm of the Business (ROB) as defined by WCB, GSMO & Industry including work back schedules and tracking/driving to completion
Understand and analyze against industry verticals, solution levels and 4 customer buying scenarios through a financial and analytical lens.
Lead the team preparation for monthly and quarterly business reviews and help the lead "see around corners" and anticipate problem areas
Drive impact through stakeholder and Field engagement. Establish review mechanism of insight, metrics and actions contributing to growing new business & pipeline

Manage the team specific rhythm and communications -- LT meetings, all-hands, off-sites, SharePoint, training, awards, etc. This includes engagement on CVP & SLT level.
Lead the evolution of the team culture - including working groups for MS Poll, onboarding of new employees, inclusiveness of remote employees and other activities with an aim of achieving best-in-class organizational health
Run a tight community and engagement framework with Regional Business Leads for Industry and Field sellers, specifically ATU Managers & Field Industry Resources
Manage and drive stakeholder map
Industry Leader Support & Engagement
Drive a weekly sync for the team as well as frequent syncs with the direct reports on their respective Leadership Teams
Manage the internal & external communications - including presentations, social presence, travel briefs and trip reports, newsletter and stakeholder communications
Own and lead a multiyear strategy plan including detailed execution, prioritized scenarios and drive relevant investments accruing to the overall Industry GTM & strategy

Business Operations:
Planfully manage the team Opex budget, team calendar of events - working with the finance controllership team and budget stakeholders to have a deep understanding of program and discretionary spend and drive to quarterly and FY financial targets/accountabilities.
Ensure all program asks have clear ROI.
Participate as leading member of the Industry business manager community - collaborating on cross organizational projects and initiatives as appropriate.

Experiences Required:
Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:
The ideal candidate is a seasoned business professional with 8+ years of multi-disciplinary experience, who has the aspiration and potential to grow as a broad business leader, especially in the FSI industry team
Deep understanding of Microsoft's rhythm and processes including key WCB & GSMO operating mechanism (financials, scorecard, market share)
Customer-, Market-, Field-focused - a strong desire to serve and make others successful
Excellent skills in all aspects of planning, cross-group collaboration, communications, analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
Passion and proven record for execution with measurable results; focus on delivering impact.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, innovation, and the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead cross group/functional teams with a high degree of independence and success
Ability to work successfully across a complex, highly-matrixed environment
Ability to deal with ambiguity, navigate uncertain situations, and drive for clarity
Demonstrated strong capability in verbal and written communications skills across a geographically dispersed audience
Excellence and experience in managing OPEX and all aspects of budget planning
