The SPDR Marketing Business Manager is responsible for supporting the general management and progress of Global SPDR Marketing by partnering with SPDR Marketing Operations on core processes executing strategy decisions and creating leverage for the Head of Global SPDR Marketing. Specifically:
Organizational optimization:Assist in supporting the Global SPDR Marketing organization to optimize its efficiency and effectiveness
Digital transformation:Support the Digital Transformation agenda for Global SPDR Marketing including project management reporting presentations etc
Internal Communications:Assist in the planning production and execution of global internal communications for Global SPDR Marketing
Execution: Partner with key stakeholders to implement change via realistic actionable plans against key initiatives
Firmwide partnership: Build strong relationships across SSGA to support the business
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and a track record of success:
Strong analytical capabilities the ability to work independently and comfort with ambiguity are important attributes of the position. Also the ability to work as part of a team spanning central and in-country resources will be essential to the role's success.
Working largely as a key individual contributor the Business Manageris expected to support the day-to-day management and operations of Global SPDR Marketing through organization of the decision making bodies compilation of management reporting and helping execute the key marketing pr iorities. Specific responsibilities comprise:
Organizational optimization: Assist in supporting the Global SPDR Marketing organization to optimize its efficiency and effectiveness
Partner with Global Marketing team to optimize the marketing organization processes and workflows and associated communications
Manage broad program around Global SPDR Marketing oranization evolving into the future-state data-driven digital organization
Digital transformation: Support the Digital Transformation agenda for Global SPDR Marketing
Manage and oversee project management reporting presentations etc
Help to influence and persuade the organization in line with the long-term Digital vision and transformation
Marketing management: Support the management of Global SPDR Marketing by leading governance and key business processes
Manage regular Global SPDR Marketing Leadership meetings & offsites ensuring materials & structure are in place for robust and outcome-oriented discussions with clear action plans & follow up
Liasion with HR Business Partner
Communications: Assist in the planning production and execution of global internal communications for Global SPDR Marketing
Develop the timeline and narrative for SPDR Global Marketing internal communications
Ensure internal dissemination of communications globally is timely relevant and through the most effective channels while monitoring for response to deteremine if any reengagement is necessary
Execution: Partner with key stakeholders to implement change via realistic actionable plans against key initiatives and strategies
Be a change agent - identify issues that need resolution and drive to outcomes
Develop clear actionable plans that take into account sales marketing & product activities
Create materials to communicate strategic plan to senior management and to the overall Global SPDR Marketing team
Provide tactical roll-out support including project management as needed
Develop and track progress against plans in terms of both activity and impact
Firmwide partnership: Build strong relationships across SSGA to support the business
Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal partners and leverage as needed
Represent the Head of Global SPDR Marketing in key forums as a leader of the business
Facilitate an understanding of the SPDR business and its strategy & priorities across key internal stakeholders
Represent Global SPDR Marketing on internal and external committees and forums as needed
Qualifications:
Strong experience in the asset management industry of 5+ years
Strategy & planning experience at an executive level at a large scale asset management organisation or at a top-tier strategy or financial services consulting firm
Proven track record of building managing and motivating a strategy team
Proven experience developing & leveraging relationships across multiple stakeholders
Excellent analytical skills
Track record of project management delivery
BA/ BS or equivalent degree preferably with a financial or business discipline
MBA preferred
Specific Technical Knowledge / Qualifications:
Industry experience and track record of results
Sufficient gravitas and confidence to credibly engage senior leaders and stakeholders
Strong skills in financial planning financial modelling and business decision support narrative formation
Personal Profile:
Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
Knows what 'good looks like' and will aim to build and deliver same at SSGA
