Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Senior Buyer position in Elizabeth, NJ.



Responsibilities:
-Maintain a clear knowledge of source of supply and relate sources for the purchase of commodities, and services as assigned
-Ensure that source contract information is up to date
-Communicate comprehensively with sourcing administrator
-Ensure timely distribution of all purchase orders issued
-Research inquiries from requisitions department
-Perform and process all new incoming requisitions
-Conduct procurements via public advertising of bids
-Attend and act as facilitator at all meetings related to procurement
-Work closely with department regarding the procurement process
-Prepare service and maintenance agreements
-Meet with sales representatives
-Preparing reports



Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree
-2 years of experience in securing the purchasing of services and commodities, materials, equipment and supplies
-Strong MS Office Suite skills
-Knowledge in Marketplace and Banner preferred
-Excellent communication skills
-Familiar with various sourcing strategies
-Team player
-Detail oriented
