Successful incumbent will join the Compliance Operations team at Brighthouse Financial (or, the “Company”) and will be expected to contribute to one or more of the following activities in support of the Company’s Compliance Operations activity:  Sales Material Review, Producer Due Diligence, Associate Disclosures (Outside Business Activities, Private Securities Transactions, Political Contributions, and Gifts & Business Entertainment), Personal Trading Oversight; and responding to Customer Complaints.




  1. Review Brighthouse life insurance and annuity sales and marketing material and associate disclosures in accordance with applicable rules and Company policies and procedures.  Engage subject matter experts and business partners, as appropriate;
  2. Respond to customer complaints within prescribed timelines from initial stages through final resolution and identify and recommend process improvements, as needed.  Take strategic action to potentially reduce complaint volumes based on identified trends or patterns;
  3. Perform monitoring and testing to determine the effectiveness of established controls designed to mitigate compliance risk.  Use these results to identify control deficiencies and make recommendations for improvement;
  4. Support the Company’s Due Diligence program, including responding to requests from business partners and providing recommendations regarding high-risk brokers.




  1. 3-5+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry;


  2. Knowledge of the regulatory requirements in the insurance and securities industries;
  3. FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, or 26 preferred;
  4. A strong working knowledge of insurance and annuity products;
  5. Strong negotiation skills and ability to be a business partner and creative thinker capable of understanding and finding appropriate solutions to business needs;
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team;
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
