Position Description
Lead and manage key initiatives and projects in support of the McKesson Specialty Health Compliance program and the US Oncology Network.  Support the organizational culture of compliance through the identification of risks and opportunities and supporting continuous improvement.  Independently initiate and manage key initiatives.  Act in a consultant/advisory role to assist and partner with company personnel to ensure an understanding of the regulatory requirements and that proper controls are in place when implementing change.  Work with management team members, outside customers and functional peer groups at management levels.  Drive initiatives by obtaining cooperation of others through education, conducting presentations, communication and influencing others, including upper management as needed.  This experienced compliance professional must be able to think strategically, execute tactically and build relationships with business partners in a collaborative environment.  Provide oversight, support and direction to practice based compliance liaisons as needed.
 
Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures as necessary
  2. Develop, update and provide training as necessary to meet regulatory and contractual requirements
  3. Lead and/or participate in compliance related investigations
  4. Act as central point of contact for practice related compliance questions and inquiries
  5. Ensure collaboration between compliance and the individual practices, privacy, ISRM, Legal and other departments as necessary
  6. Other activities as needed to ensure compliance with regulatory/legal requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
8+ years of related experience. Desired backgrounds may include healthcare, Medicare, pharmaceuticals, biologics manufacturing, or clinical research.
 
Critical Skills
  • Possess working knowledge of Federal and State governmental regulations pertaining to compliance program requirements
  • Knowledge of physician practice operations and requirements
  • Previous experience with Anti-kickback, STARK compliance
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • General understanding of HIPAA preferred
  • Understanding of billing and coding, preferred
 
Education
MS preferred or 4-year degree or equivalent experience. JD preferred.
