The Senior Consultant, Marketing & Media Planning will be responsible for assisting in building and executing fully integrated marketing programs for the MetLife Brand that drives customer engagement and positions MetLife as relevant, differentiated and forward thinking.  They will be the lead for media strategy, media planning, campaign execution and optimizations.  The role will be responsible for offline and online media, with a heavy emphasis on digital channels.


They will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work closely and gain support and trust of a wide range of individuals and teams.



  • Responsible for overseeing media strategy, planning, campaign management (TV, Print, Search, Social, Digital, Content)
  • Day-to-day campaign management
  • Management of budgeting/forecasting, campaign optimization and reporting
  • Coordination with internal and external teams for campaign planning, execution, optimization and reporting
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, and internal agency counterparts
  • Regularly inform both internal team members and external clients about opportunities, challenges and marketplace/technology developments
  • Provide strategic and tactical guidance on media best practices as an media expert


  • 3+ years planning across all media vehicles in an agency or client environment.  Requires experience with TV, Print and Digital Media (heavy emphasis on digital and programmatic).
  • Experience with creative development and management a plus
  • Strong experience with ad serving, analytics, and attribution technologies and partners (Double Click, Google Analytics, Etc.)
  • Highly analytical, with experience optimizing for lead gen performance
  • B2B and Direct Marketing experience a plus
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment that is dedicated to marketing excellence
  • Comfortable working independently with ownership and accountability
  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree a plus
