**Job Description:** We are looking for an exceptional, talented individual to join our marketing team and play a key role in building ScaleIO’s market presence. **Job Description** The Senior Consultant Product Marketing Manager will work closely with other members of the marketing team to develop core product positioning and messaging which highlights ScaleIO’s unique value propositions and competitive advantages. This position involves creating the core product messaging, collateral materials, and sales tools. The successful candidate will have a unique blend of creative and technical skills, understand enterprise storage concepts (block storage, its features, capabilities, and use cases), and be capable of understanding the needs of the market and the EMC/ScaleIO sales force and responding with compelling assets. This position will also play a key role in creating ScaleIO’s marketing campaigns. Detailed knowledge of database and high performance environments is highly desired. Candidates must be effective speakers and writers, able to articulate complex technical topics elegantly and succinctly. Candidates must be adept at understanding customer pain points, creating marketing materials and programs that address them, and capable of creating topical lead generation programs that drive high response rates. This position will have extensive interaction with customers, analysts, salespeople, and partners. We are looking for a polished and prolific content creator who also knows how to leverage every asset to the fullest extent in integrated marketing programs. Key Responsibilities + Lead product marketing efforts into key application areas such as database storage and high performance applications + Interact with the market through extensive meetings with customers, partners, and industry sources to evangelize ScaleIO’s solutions and position ScaleIO relative to competitors + Build assets to help sell ScaleIO’s storage in different environments and applications + Play a central role in ScaleIO’s product launch and marketing programs + Create diverse marketing material including positioning white papers, website content, case studies, training materials, and product presentations + Participate in and contribute to sales efforts Desired Skills and Experience + Minimum 7 years of product marketing experience in storage or closely related markets + Deep knowledge of the enterprise storage market, enterprise IT applications, and data center architectures including virtualization (server and desktop), databases, business intelligence, and high-performance computing + Strong technical aptitude, fast learner, able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts + Demonstrated success marketing products in Storage / IT infrastructure / Enterprise software + Strong presence and ability to passionately articulate products, technologies, and value propositions + Hands-on, “can do” attitude + Excellent communication skills (written, presentation, speaking, listening). Able to work with engineers, customers, industry analysts, press/media. Must be articulate and a strong writer and presenter. Must be able to adapt presentation style and content based on audience. + Ability to work collaboratively and influence across functions within the company + Technical background highly desired. Marketing/MBA degree highly desired.
