Team: We are a fast paced, fun Analytics and Data Science team in the Apps and Services Marketing division driving the data-driven culture through Big Data Analytics. We are redefining marketing through cutting edge Analytics and solving very strategic, big problems. The team’s scope is broad – we cover all major apps and services including Office 365 across Consumer and Commercial space, Outlook.com, OneDrive and Skype for Business.
Role: We are searching for a talented and experienced leader who will own our analytics for Office marketing. This is a very visible role leading the transforming the organization’s pace to move forward through key insights about our business model and customer insights. The scope includes owning and managing key metrics and ongoing analyses to inform overall strategy for subscriber retention, drive usage and quality acquisition. In this role, you will oversee overall lifecycle management analytics across all marketing channels, customer segments and geographies across the world.
The position will be responsible for devising analysis, reporting, and system capability solutions, and informing the overall business strategy through actionable insights. Someone who is driven, self-directed, entrepreneurial and focused on delivering the right results through data will do well in this role. To be successful in this role, you must have strong skills in written and oral communications, a can-do attitude and the willingness to tackle hard problems in innovative ways.
•Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques
•Define, track and report key metrics to assess overall business health
•Ongoing analyses to assess subscription health and provide strategic input to stakeholders
•Connect findings and recommendations to business initiatives and collaborate with key stakeholders at various management levels
•5 years’ experience working in data analysis
•BS/BA in Statistics, Economics or Mathematics is preferred
•Exceptional problem solving, technical and data analysis skills
•Manipulate large volumes of data, create new and improved techniques and/or solutions for data collection, management, and usage
•Advanced Modeling and Excel skills and proficiency in SQL
•High attention to detail, action oriented, ability to work within stringent deadlines
•Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
•Attention to detail and data accuracy
•Strong strategic thinking complemented with a bias for action. A successful candidate needs to be able to develop a strategy and execution plan that drives results.
•Ability to succeed in a matrix environment and influence adoption of new thinking
•Excellent verbal, written and presentational skills with a focus on tangible, measurable recommendations.
•Highly accountable, driven success in a fast-paced environment, experience working in global roles
•Prior experience in subscription services, telecom, financial services desired
•Subject matter expertise in mobile apps desired
