LinkedIn Analytics team leverages LinkedIn's extreme rich datasets to develop and deliver data-driven insights, metrics and tools in order to drive LinkedIn's business growth and monetization efforts. Our team is rapidly reinventing the way that proprietary data analysis can drive decisions across marketing, sales and product. We now need a talented and driven data scientist to accelerate our efforts and be a major part of our data-centric culture.
We're looking for a hands-on professional who is passionate about mining big data, turning data into insights, and making an impact through rigorous analysis, creative storytelling and timely actions. This person will play a significant role in analytics for LinkedIn Learning Solutions and work closely with product, marketing, sales, engineering, operations, and data service team to develop and deliver data-driven models/tools, insights, and ultimately drive the company's monetization efforts. Responsibilities Overall, a highly driven, results-oriented, creative and nimble problem solver and a willingness to do "whatever it takes" to deliver business value in a timely fashion.
Analyze massive scale structured and unstructured data, perform deep dive on large data set to drive impactful and actionable insights across product, marketing, and sales.
Create and maintain insightful automated dashboards and data visualization to track business metrics and recommend actionable insights. Partner with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, marketing, and operations to lead or contribute to large scale strategic projects as well as ongoing operational activities.
Effectively communicates complex analytics to business partners and broader audience in writing and oral presentation formats.
Basic Qualifications: 2+ years analytics experience, e. . analytics, data science, data engineering, predictive modeling, statistician, in the internet or related industries.
Strong technical skills in querying and transforming big data within both traditional database environment and HDFS system. (Teradata, MySQL, Pig/Hive) Hands-on experiences with R and/or Python for statistical analysis.
Proficiency in a Unix/Linux environment for automating processes with shell scripting or any scripting language such as Python/Perl/Ruby.
Experience with Tableau or other data visualization and dashboarding tools. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize, simplify and explain complex problems to different types of audience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with building end-to-end data product, familiar with HTML, CSS.
Experience with Enterprise sales and marketing is a big plus.
Experience with SalesForce data is a plus. Always be learning attitude, as we are analytics for LinkedIn Learning Solution.
