The primary duties of this individual will be to:
- develop and apply protein and carbohydrate characterization techniques (chromatography, immunoassay and mass spectrometry) to characterize novel biotherapeutics.
- apply these methodologies to support product and process characterization and comparability studies, and to support process and formulation development activities as needed.
- Further, the ideal candidate will take part in the design, execution and interpretation of protein structure/function studies.
This individual is expected to work independently on a day to day basis with supervision on project goals and approaches. The person must demonstrate sound scientific judgment and problem solving skills. This individual ensures that all deliverables are of high quality. He/she communicates progress to the senior staff member and/or project team on a regular basis.
This individual will interact with other members of Analytical Development and Process Development. The individual will work as part of small, project focused teams and present data and findings on a regular basis This individual may present at professional meetings and contribute to publication of work in peer reviewed journals.
BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry or other biological discipline with a minimum of 10 years of experience in biotechnology environment.
MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry or other biological discipline with a minimum of 6 years of experience in biotechnology environment.
