Position & Candidate Summary:
Reporting to the VP of HR Technology & Service Solutions (HRT&SS), the Senior Director, People & Organizational Planning is responsible for establishing and leading Talent strategies in support of the HRT&SS team and its successful transformation to and delivery of a digital HR experience for Comcast employees. This person will partner with team and HR leadership to identify, assess and develop talent and organizational plans that facilitate a digital transformation on the HRT&SS team. This role will require a high level of collaboration with strategic partners in HQ HR, Talent Solutions, Employee Engagement, Comcast University and Talent Management to build innovative organizational and talent plans that scale across the various disciplines within the HRT&SS team (HR Technology, HR Service Delivery, Org Acceleration, and HR Integration Services).

Core Responsibilities:

- Lead talent management and organizational development strategies that facilitate the team's transformation to a digitally-focused HR culture and workforce

- Build talent initiatives that promote and develop the competencies, functional skillsets and talent pipelines required to fulfill the team's mission of delivering a digital, integrated and automated HR experience to our clients

- Assess the ability of the team's talent to carry out a digital HR experience, identifying gaps and opportunities to address them through talent development or acquisition

- Collaborate with leadership and strategic partners to build and drive performance management, employee engagement and retention strategies necessary to effectively support and reinforce this transformation

- Ensure that talent and organization strategies are aligned to organization-wide engagement, development, talent management and performance management initiatives

- Leverage and incorporate change management best practices to accelerate, facilitate and reinforce the talent and organizational changes required to support the team's transition

- Collect and utilize organizational, engagement, and talent data to provide insights that guide strategic organizational, team and talent action plans and programs

- Maintain effective relationships within the team and the HR community to have influence and impact on the overall strategic plan for the talent, structure, and the products & services we provide to the organization


Success Criteria:

- Introduce effective methods of assessing talent readiness and skillsets for digital transition, resulting in a workforce that is prepared and capable to deliver a digital HR experience

- Strengthen pipeline for specialized functional skillsets required for digital transformation

- Increased advancement of HRT&SS talent through pipeline and across functional areas

- Increased effectiveness and efficiency of inter-departmental career pathing and growth & development opportunities that enhance the business unit's ability to drive a digital HR experience

- Talent Management and Development strategies are aligned with company-wide initiatives, supported by management, and understood, adopted and embraced by HRT&SS employees

- Advance the rate of talent profiles and individual development plans in place to drive employee engagement through talent development opportunities. Achieve this goal by creating awareness for, and fostering, opportunities to develop talent cross-functionally

Job Specification:

- Strong experience either leading a transformation to digital HR or extensive experience in a fully digital HR environment

- Generally requires 12+ years related experience

- Minimum 7 years of demonstrated talent management, leadership/staff development or organizational consulting experience.

- Must possess deep Talent Management & Organizational Design knowledge

- Strong leadership and influencing skills, track record of effective partnerships, sound judgment and decision-making abilities, as articulated by business references.

- Experience managing change, and a deep understanding of the impacts of change on organizational culture, leadership, process, behaviors and skills

- Significant experience working within a high pressure, changing organizational environment, with clear evidence of success achieving results

- Demonstrated experience in facilitation, coaching, and leading teams/organizations in performance improvement strategies that result in higher performance

- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent. Advanced Degree preferred.
