Job Description
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the senior financial analyst will be responsible for the business administration functions within the A/P invoice routing system and the payables module within Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS). The senior financial analyst will drive strategic management and analysis of purchasing and payables data for both the US and Canada as well as work closely with supply chain to provide vendor-related analysis to support business decisions.

  • Serve as business administrator and subject matter expert for all A/P systems. Responsibilities include:
  • System administration to support the business needs and functionality within Inspyrus, iExpense (Oracle) and EBS
  • Development and maintenance of rules and analytic reporting for all systems
  • Continuous improvement, training and documentation for systems and department processes
  • Point of contact for system inquiries and issues; partnering with IT on an ongoing basis
  • Drive purchasing, payables and vendor-related data analysis and ad hoc reporting as needed for both the US and Canada divisions
  • Support resolution of vendor-related issues through research and reporting
  • Assist with projects, assignments and business analyses as requested by the A/P Manager
  • Perform weekly and monthly reporting and analysis and key performance indicators
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations
  • Manage the month-end closing process for all A/P systems
  • Management and testing of Sarbanes-Oxley controls
  • Assist with sales and use tax reporting
  • Assist with audit requests from internal and external auditors
  • Work cohesively as part of the Corporate Accounting team to meet departmental responsibilities and deadlines with a sense of poise, urgency, practicality and integrity
  • Collaborate with and across multiple departments and functions, working closely with the supply chain teams, plant leadership, corporate departments and US and Canada supply center personnel

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA designation preferred, but not required
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years Public Accounting or 5 - 7 years Industry Accounting or FinanceĀ 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Oracle (EBS) experience preferred
  • Inspyrus and iExpense experience preferred
