Performs a variety of financial studies to analyze and report interrelationships of financial information. Determines validity of data and provides supporting explanations of conclusions reached. Uses data to project future short- and long-term scenarios and anticipated results. May support financial analysis/reporting and the integrity of financial data by developing the financial systems infrastructure, establishing controlled financial transaction processing through administrative systems, or providing technical support in the production of reports/analyses.



  • Works on basic to more complex financial analyses assignments or projects.
  • Prepares financial reports by downloading information from single or multiple sources, compiles databases and formulates spreadsheets.
  • Conducts/ coordinates research and/or participates in special studies, models complex future short- and long-term financial results, reconciles actual results against projections, and explains variances.
  • May interpret financial trends.
  • May develop business requirements, approve specifications, document procedures and processes, test transactions, and assist in implementation as team leader/project manager or as a subject matter expert on cross-functional IT/business teams developing financial systems or financial accounting transactions and controls within administrative systems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
  • May provide technical guidance to and assist junior staff members.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-8 yrs. financial experience in a public or private company environment; insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Completion of or progress towards CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts, principles, and practices.
