This position is a member of the Strategic Investment Initiatives Unit which is responsible for implementation of special initiatives supporting Investment Financial Management.  On behalf of Investment Financial Management, candidate is expected to influence, work cooperatively and diplomatically with the larger investment project and technology teams to negotiate priorities, identify and articulate emerging risks, escalate the quantified risks and address the risks with the larger team.

 

 

  • Lead initiatives to review end-to-end functional flows and identify process improvements.
  • Facilitate and document business requirements gathering sessions with subject matter experts and system users.
  • Translate requirements into functional system specifications and process flows.
  • Provide critical thinking and analysis skills across a wide variety of business process and technology-related challenges.
  • Identify areas where process redesign/improvement can significantly impact efficiency, quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare documentation/presentations for upper management of project status, observations and recommendations.
  • Develop and implement advanced Excel/Access applications based on recommendations from process reviews.

 

  • Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is highly desired: BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred. 
  • Completion of, or working towards CPA is preferred.
  • 8+ years total of working knowledge in financial analysis in a public or private company environment.
  • At least 2-5+ years of experience in project management (process analysis and design). 
  • Knowledge of investments accounting and/or investments reporting.
  • Insurance industry experience preferred.
