Senior Full Stack Java Developer

Position Summary:
The Senior Full Stack Java Developer will research, design, test, implement and educate delivery area teams on the latest open source software, technologies and methodologies. We're looking for a dynamic team member that has a deep understanding of large-scale cloud deployments and can creatively implement them within CVS Health.

In this role, you will design and innovate technologies or solutions for effective resource allocation, fast application deployment, and zero downtime upgrade. You will have the opportunity to find new ways to deliver innovative designs or new architecture POC as well as platform production releases.

To be successful, it is important that you have a deep understanding of various cloud infrastructure hardware and software such as Openstack, AWS, GCP and Azure, as well as the underlying architecture for hyper-converged technologies and Pivotal Cloud Foundry. The Senior Full Stack Developer should possess integrity, dedication, and have the flexibility to pivot to complete new tasks.


Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of IT experience including the following:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with designing and developing Spring,J2EE based enterprise applications
  • Minimum of 3 years of large scale distributed software design and development experience accompanied by a consistent track record delivering large systems to a pre-defined schedule
  • Design and implementation experience while leading and educating others
  • Experience in one or more of the following development languages: Spring-Java, Go, NodeJS , React.
  • Experience in one or more of the following cloud platforms: Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Openshift , AWS Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google App Engine, Heroku , or other PaaS technologies
  • Migration from Monolithic application development to micro-services Experience with a CI/CD pipeline GIT, Stash, Bit Bucket, Artifactory , Jenkins, etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills









Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or the equivalent. High School Diploma/GED accompanied by one year of additional related experience for each year not completed for college.
