Your tasks and responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior IT Project Manager, are to:

  • Lead strategic IT programs and complex projects in the Business Intelligence, Analytics and Data Management area;
  • Plan and execute ('launch') major programs by assimilating initial business demands and strategies, and working to frame-up into formal programs; e.g. scope, work-streams, program organization set-up, establish and align SteerCo, etc.;
  • Successful management of schedule, scope, cost and expected business outcomes (value - business case realization) for large and complex portfolio of IT projects;
  • Drive organizational change ('transformation') and key stakeholder engagement;
  • Address change elements including organizational change, key stakeholder management as a key element of the strategy in order to realize an impactful and sustainable change;
  • Ensure that change management is strongly lived as core transformation program element;
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships and ability to influence key stakeholders to ensure decisions are made in best interest of program in order to realize expected business outcomes;
  • Manage key integration elements to ensure the needed process, technology and organizational touch-points are adequately addressed including interactions with global programs and strategies;
  • Ensure IT programs/projects deliver on commitments;
  • Facilitate senior stakeholder steering committees, program advisory boards, scope management, escalation management and proper program/project communication updates;
  • Support IT Business Intelligence and Analytics leadership and/or broader IT Operations Leadership with Portfolio Management Operations including budgeting, resource planning and sourcing strategy;
  • Proactively remove obstacles to drive project/program momentum and progress; engage and energize the program teams;
  • Manage issue escalations, clarify priorities and provide support to teams to expedite decision making.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in business or a technical field with at least ten (10) years OR Master's degree with seven (7) years of applicable business experience, with at least five (5) years of experience leading major and/or complex IT programs, preferably in the Business Intelligence and Analytics or Commercial domain including at least three (3) years of experience managing large projects in the Life Sciences Industry;
  • Expert managing multiple, simultaneous projects and programs;
  • Experience managing complex projects with many interdependencies;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global matrix organization model and interact effectively and develop consensus with all levels of management/senior management within a multi-functional team environment; specifically to lead transformational initiatives;
  • Broad spectrum of highly developed communication, organization, planning, motivational, influencing, leadership and negotiating skills that are effective in achieving successful business results and in interacting with a diversified and complex stakeholder base (external and internal);
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills and a broad external network;
  • Broad business experience in the Life Sciences Industry (Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health, and/or Crop Science sector);
  • Understanding of business processes with emphasis on Marketing and Sales;
  • Familiarity with diverse systems landscapes and integration needs (i.e. CRM, ERP, data integration technologies, data modelling, etc.);
  • Proven ability to drive major business outcomes (e.g. significant ROI through proven integrated leadership skillset;
  • At least five to seven (5-7) years of senior level experience in managing major transformation programs in multinational companies including business requirements analysis, evaluation, feasibility study, design, development, test and implementation;
  • Analyze and manage complex organizations, processes and systems in order to identify improvement opportunities;
  • Ability to address and resolve difficult situations even under time pressure;
  • Expert knowledge (ten to twelve (10-12) years of experience) of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC);
  • Extensive Organizational Change Management experience with proven ability to plan, analyze and drive sustainable organizational changes;
  • Strong planning, budgeting and cost tracking skills;
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience with software development methodologies and requirements gathering techniques such as Agile, etc.;
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and manage the expectations of divisional stakeholders, team members, management and external partners;
  • Demonstrated ability to use structured problem solving and available tools to quickly evaluate problems, identify root cause, create action and risk mitigation plans, assess impact and develop resolution options;
  • Strong communicator via all media channels: collaboration technologies (Sharepoint, Skype, etc.) and presentations (written, emails, verbal) across wide variety of audiences;
  • Profound knowledge on business process, business data and related key performance indicators;
  • Strong integrated consultancy skillset;
  • English language fluent in spoken and written.
