Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Must have excellent analytical problem solving skills to identify/determine causes of equipment or component failure and assist in developing programs to reduce occurrence rates
  • Capable of quickly coming up to speed and becoming fully competent in the diagnosis, trouble-shooting and repair of the equipment listed below: Pick and place robotics, indexing tables, vibratory feeder bowls, conveyors, box erectors, vertical baggers, in-line packaging machines, ink jet printers, pumps, mixers, dispensing systems for fluids, air-vey units, microwave dryers, air powered handling systems, laser, UV curing , presses, loaders, and ultra-sonic welding
  • Electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and repair
  • Knowledgeable in PLC's, AC and DC drives
  • Operational knowledge in high-speed assembly and packaging machinery repair, installation, modification and adjustments
  • Operational knowledge of general shop machining and fabrication equipment including lathe, drills, mills and saws
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks
  • Ability to read and comprehend equipment schematics/assembly drawings, pneumatic and hydraulic schematic diagrams
  • Training and coach other techs and operators on troubleshooting and other TPM tasks
  • Working within all safety guidelines, policies and procedures

This position may require:
  • Working overtime
  • Weekend work
  • Evening or night shift
  • Working 12 hour shifts
  • Short notice shift coverage

Basic Qualifications:
  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess a two (2) year technical degree
  • Experience installing, diagnosing, and repairing high speed assembly and/or automated packaging machinery in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical power supply, machine control device, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment(s) in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in fabrication of machine parts for emergency repair
  • Experience with maintenance of injection molding presses and tool repair
  • Strong Computer skills and use of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently or with teams
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
