The Senior Manager, Advertising Technology, will work with Sales, Product, Engineering, Vendors and Media Ops to create and operate scalable solutions, and systems for Media Ops and Sales. He/she is the go-to for technical requirements for new and changing ad products, as well as an advisor to internal teams on ad industry best practices and trends. He/she also straddles pre- and post-sales support, bringing deep knowledge and experience to bear in helping presales and business development teams productize and package our offerings in a way that ensures excellence in execution, while helping post-sales understand what’s being sold, as well as understand technical changes to live campaigns that may be required periodically as our sites evolve. From this central position, the Ad Tech Manager also administers BabyCenter’s digital ad serving and CRM platforms (DFP, DSM and SalesForce), and Data Management Platforms. He/she will also play a leading role in future adserving/inventory systems implementations and upgrades. The Ad Tech Manager is a technical expert and advisor in all phases of the ad sales life cycle process, from display advertising creative consulting, technical sales support, and technical implementation and troubleshooting, to QA and project-based site and ad development.
The successful candidate is able to understand the sometimes competing needs and priorities of different functional groups across the company, and is able to communicate effectively with each group in its own language. The ability to discuss technical matters with non-technical audiences is essential. He/she is well versed in broad picture industry trends, while also being able to zoom in on the finest details of system and process administration.
