The Sr. Manager, Oncology Forecasting & Integrated Analytics is responsible for integrating and translating insights and analytics into meaningful assumptions to help drive forecast accuracy within the Janssen North America Oncology BU.   


This position will partner closely with brand teams, cross functional partners, and with our co-promotional/developmental partner to serve as an internal consultant to the Sales & Marketing team.  This position plays a leading role in advising and counseling management through the development of fact-based forecasting. 


The Sr. Manager, Oncology Forecasting & Integrated Analytics will:

  • Lead development and implementation of analytics & forecast models & tracking; proactively identify new data sources that will enhance decision making, increase forecast accuracy and streamlined efforts.
  • Partner across the team to determine optimal analytic, reporting & forecast modeling approaches, identify appropriate supplier partners, foster strong partnerships in the context of resources, timing and overall project goals
  • Ensure timely tracking of forecast accuracy and key assumptions across key data sources – prescription, patient, call activity and managed care to evaluate risk & opportunities.
  • Ensure seamless integration of analytics from national and subnational levels across key data sources – prescription, patient, call activity and managed care to evaluate marketing and sales tactics. Identify and develop key metrics to measure and monitor performance through dashboards.
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance to comprehensive intelligence plans (including alerts, timelines, and competitive simulations) designed to ensure competitive and environmental insights are reflected in brand and franchise strategies and plans.
  • Partner across the Commercial Excellence team to ensure primary market research, business intelligence, and analytical insights are developed by peers across the Commercial Insights & Strategy team and leveraged within the brand forecast model.
  • Provide strategic input to help shape strategic and business plans, brand strategies and new product launch plans and life cycle management for the Oncology Business.
  • Partner with Commercial Development team to embed Value Excellence into the brand or franchise efforts.
  • Focus on key business questions and frame business problems into research and intelligence plans. He/she will routinely provide integrated insights that drive sales and marketing strategies for their respective franchise teams as well as the portfolio.
  • Apply and help others on the team utilize basic consulting skills, including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, translation to value, and oral and written presentation for impact. 
  • Consistently focus on key business issues for the franchise and well as the portfolio.   The ability to demonstrate leadership courage in order to set boundaries and ensure time is spent on the most critical/ high value projects is critical.
  • Stay abreast of emerging healthcare & pharmaceutical industry trends and assess their potential impact on our franchise business strategies.  
  • Cultivate meaningful internal and external partnerships, adding value and insights for the organization; being insight driven to uncover important unmet needs.
  • Enable Credo-based culture and serve as a role model for making Credo-based decisions.
  • The position may allow for the management of up to 2 direct reports.


  • BA/BS required;
  • Advanced degree desirable. 
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant business experience required
  • Forecasting experience in pharm or biologics environment is required as well as inline or prelaunch forecasting experience is required.
  • Market research, business intelligence, marketing, sales, finance, business analytics, strategic planning, or management consulting preferred. 
  • Diversity of experience is preferred, with demonstrated learning agility in order to be able to move across different types of markets such as primary care/retail or specialty markets. 
  • Oncology experience is preferred but not required.
  • Business/market experience and industry knowledge to influence franchise/brand level decisions and strategies are required. 
  • People management experience preferred.
  • This position is based in Horsham, PA and requires up to 5% domestic travel.
